Eugene Philippov, deputy safety director of the hotels has told ABT Newsletter representative about the principles of safe space in Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya and Holiday Inn Moscow Suschevsky.

Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya and Holiday Inn Moscow Suschevsky provide a high level of safety of the guests and their belongings: a special service guards the guests’ privacy day and night, and reception employees are always ready to call an ambulance quickly if it is necessary.

Hotel rooms can be accessed with electronic keys only. Guest lifts in the hotels are equipped with a similar system: in order to get to the guest floor, you need your room key. If you do not have a key, you can access only public zones — the reception, the restaurant, the bar and conference halls.

This system prevents access of strangers to the floors where guests live. For safety reasons all public zones of the hotels are under constant video surveillance.

As for the safety of personal belongings, we should note that there is a safe in every hotel room. The coded lock of the safe is customized: the guest chooses and sets the code himself. Things that are especially precious can be left in special deposit boxes at the reception.

Apart from personal safety and the safety of valuable property, hotel staff takes care of informational safety. According to regional IT director Andrey Ukraintsev, Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya and Holiday Inn Moscow Suschevsky meet the international safety standard PCI-DSS for payment cards. This standard includes a combination of 12 detailed requirements regarding the safety of cardholder data, that is transmitted, stored and processed in IT infrastructures of companies. «Our guests may not be worried about using their credit cards to pay for services and not be afraid of their data getting into the wrong hands», Mr Ukraintsev stressed. When guests check in, they automatically get accident insurance for the time of their hotel stay (the corresponding agreement is concluded with an insurance company). If we speak about special security measures in the hotel, its management points out, first of all, regular work with the staff in this direction. Regular trainings do not let lower the staff’s guard or let strangers in, help avoid or reconcile conflicts, thus creating the atmosphere of psychological safety and emotional calm.
