HRS, which offers hotel and restaurant management systems and is the leader in the software market for the hospitality sector in Russia, the CIS and Baltic states, invited its partners to two milestone events: Tbilisi office anniversary and the traditional party «HRS and its friends» that took place in Tbilisi. The Russian Association of Business Travel was the sponsor of these events.
Starting from June 1st, Aeroflot has set the new size of basic agent commission — 4%, making it universal for all service classes. It bears reminding that earlier the carrier’s agent partners got 7% for economy class and 9% for business class sales. Experts forecast that in the foreseeable future all large Russian air market players will cut on agent commission significantly and then eliminate it altogether.
On September 27th, the Moscow Garden Ring hotel hosted «Commission Cut» panel discussion, which was organized by the editorial office of Buying Business Travel Russia electronic magazine with the informational support of the Russian Association of Business Travel. The participants were many Russian and foreign experts, including Aeroflot, Air Berlin and Turkish Airlines representatives, various travel agencies and lead TMCs — Aero Club, Continent Express, HRG, ZCTS-Egencia Russia and corporate buyers — a total of more than 50 participants. The meeting was moderated by Winfried Barczaitis, independent consultant.
Another «Travel manager» educational program of the Russian Association of Business Travel ended on September, 24th. 28 academic hours were devoted to getting acquainted with the latest knowledge and experience in the business travel industry, to curious case studies, as well as to new information management systems and business process optimization.
Tens of hotel industry participants from Moscow and regions of Russia attended educational session «Sales in the hotel industry: sales and marketing plan» which was organized by the Russian Association of Business Travel on September, 12th in Holiday Inn Lesnaya Hotel.
Europe Congress, the leading MICE organizer, gathered business travel professionals at the first MeetingPlanners Russia forum. The event took place on September 9-10th in Intercontinental Tverskaya Moscow hotel.
Tens of hotel industry participants from Moscow, Moscow region, Kaluga and Brest visited the educational session «Sales in the hotel industry: sales and marketing plan. Part 2», which was organized by the Russian Association of Business travel on July 29th in Moscow Hilton Leningradskaya.
A series of educational seminars and workshops for travel companies and hotel representatives which took place in Novotel Moscow City on June 3-5th was organized by the Committee on Tourism and Hotel Business of Moscow and gathered representatives of many accommodation facilities and travel agencies of the city. Presentation topics were various: from investment into tourist industry to restaurant catering in hotels.
Moscow Hilton Leningradskaya hotel has successfully passed the inspection procedure within ABT’s Business Hotel Attestation program: the diploma proving the hotel’s compliance with business travel standards was handed over to Konstantin Goryainov, Hilton Leningradskaya general manager.
