Final touches being made to CONVENE 2016

The arrangements being made to the programme for CONVENE 2016, featuring 165+ hosted buyers, are now complete.

An education programme of 28 sessions covering diverse topics, from women in leadership to organising incentive programmes, from meetings industry trends to public speaking techniques, from how to work with the trade press to a focus on destination knowledge hubs will all feature as main sessions, featuring meeting industry figures such as Martin Lewis, Linda Pereira, Hugo Slimbouck, Rob Davidson, James Latham — joined by a number of specialists speakers and panellists from 9 countries.

The networking programme includes a buyer only welcome reception in the Radisson Blu Sky Bar with spectacular views over the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, a gala event in the Palace of the Grand Dukes and a farewell dinner in one of a cluster of new contemporary restaurants opening in Vilnius.

Over 70 international buyers will then experience fam trips to five destinations in Lithuania, Latvia and Finland.

With the number of pre-scheduled appointments building to what will be a total of over 3500, Jolanta Beniuliene, exhibition director and Vilnius Convention Bureau director said ‘the Vilnius meetings industry community and those from other Baltic Sea neighbours look forward to welcoming the largest meetings industry gathering ever seen here".

Organised by the Vilnius Convention Bureau CONVENE features the countries of the Baltic Sea Region and will take place on 10 — 11 February 2016 at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO, Vilnius, Lithuania. 165+ hosted buyers from throughout Europe are expected to attend with an estimated 3750 pre-scheduled business appointments to be conducted. Buyers will meet some 80 exhibitors from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Russia. Building on the success of the three first editions, CONVENE 2016 will present the very high quality hospitality of the Vilnius meetings industry community has to offer.
